Sunday night when I was bored at my friend’s house we put on the animal planet
to watch a show I have never seen or heard of, it was called Rattlesnake
Republic. The show is located in the heart of Texas. It is a little-known world
where men hunt and capture the continent's most dangerous predator which over populates the area. Rattlesnake Republic follows the
lives and adventures of four teams of determined rattlesnake wranglers deep in
the heart of Texas. They have one of the most dangerous jobs in the
world as they make their living tracking, catching and selling these deadly
serpents. They are local legends and the men to call when you hear the chilling
sound of the rattle. Whether a rancher has an infestation that has been killing
his cattle, or a contractor can’t get onto his jobsite, these men come armed
with a pair of boots and guts of steel as they grab, chase and capture these
snakes, sometimes by the dozen. The larger the snake, the more money one gets, by how many pounds it is. Rattlesnakes
are sold for their skin, meat, and venom. Every new episode comes on Sunday at
9P.M. One problem I had watching this show before I had to go to bed was the
weird dreams I had full of snakes.
That's crazy! I've never heard of this show before but it sounds pretty interesting. Animal Planet always comes up with the strangest stuff, but most of the time the shows are fascinating no matter how wild and random they are. I grew up on a ranch so I am used to my brothers and cousins finding it like a sport to kill a snake. When my brother was about 5 or 6, My dad and uncle killed one that was about two feet longer than him and laid my little brother down next to the the dead rattlesnake and took a picture.
ReplyDeletenow this show, surprisingly i have never seen. but from the looks of it and what you say this looks pretty interesting. definitely looks like a show i would like and probably get addicted to. snakes are pretty sick and the guys that go after them are freaking crazy. I'm pumped to check it out and watch it sometime.
ReplyDeleteI've seen a few episodes of this show. I absolutely love snakes so to me it's really cool. They do some crazy things on this show that I don't think that I could ever do some of the crazy things that they do though. One episode they put their head in a sleeping bag and zipped it up with ton of snakes and then another one a guy was in a hurst in a parade while he was in a coffin in the back with snakes in there with him. They are crazy.
